Please note this role is part-time working 17.76 hours per week. Actual salary earnings based on these hours - £16,640 per annum.

While there is no fixed working pattern at present, candidates must be available to work an evening, potentially a Tuesday or Wednesday.

What you'll be doing

You will plan and deliver high-quality, engaging learning across a range of digital programmes, from introductory courses through to accredited qualifications.

Topics may include:

  • Digital skills for everyday life and work
  • Microsoft Office applications
  • Digital productivity and collaboration tools
  • Online safety and cyber awareness
  • Digital development (Web design, Programming, Social Media)
  • Digital employability skills
  • Sector-specific digital qualifications

Working with diverse groups of adult learners, you'll create inclusive learning experiences that build confidence, develop skills and support progression into employment, further learning or career advancement.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has strong digital knowledge and practical experience
  • Enjoys helping others learn and succeed
  • Can deliver engaging face-to-face and online learning
  • Understands how to adapt teaching to different learner needs
  • Is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Can work collaboratively with colleagues, employers and community partners

What you'll bring

Essential:

  • Strong digital skills and knowledge across a range of technologies and applications
  • A Level 3 qualification (or higher) in a relevant subject area or equivalent experience
  • Experience of training, teaching, coaching or supporting others to learn
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence using digital systems and technology

Desirable:

  • A teaching qualification (PTLLS, CET, DET, PGCE or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one
  • Experience delivering adult learning or vocational training
  • Knowledge of accredited qualifications and assessment practices
  • Digital development (web design, programming, social media marketing) experience.

Don't have a teaching qualification yet? We'd still like to hear from candidates with significant industry experience and a passion for helping others develop digital skills.

What to expect:

Our recruitment process is made up of two stages. The first stage is a:

1-hour Micro Teach Presentation, in person, where you'll have the opportunity to showcase your teaching approach and subject expertise. Successful candidates will then progress to a 1-hour Competency and Behavioural-Based Interview, allowing us to learn more about your experience, skills, and how you align with our values and the requirements of the role.
