Working Hours: 8:50am to 5pm Working Pattern (four week rolling): Week 1 – Monday to Tuesday and Thursday to Saturday (Wednesday lieu day) Week 2 – Monday to Friday Week 3 – Monday to Friday Week 4 – Monday to Friday This job role requires you to be mobile throughout an operational area. Therefore, the post holder will need to have a driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means.While the base location is South Benfleet Library, the post holder will be required to work each week from Rayleigh Library and sporadically at Basildon Library. There may also be a requirement to attend training in Chelmsford. Please note that during the training period, the postholder will not be required to work Saturdays, but will work a day during the week instead to ensure full support is provided. The Opportunity The Registration Service Officer - Frontline is an essential front-line role, responsible for delivering one of the core elements of service delivery for the Essex Registration Service. Primarily responsible for registering Births, Deaths and Stillbirths, as well as taking Notices of Intent for Marriages and Civil Partnerships, the role requires organisation, attention to detail and good working knowledge of Microsoft applications. The role is fully trained, ensuring the competency and expertise to undertake all legislative and statutory duties and functions in compliance with General Register Office (GRO) governance and regulations, to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set out in the code of practice. The role also interacts with internal and external colleagues, partners and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
