What the Job Involves

As the Property Standards and Empty Homes Officer, you will work to improve housing quality in Elmbridge by conducting inspections, addressing complaints about housing disrepair, and reducing empty properties. You will collaborate with colleagues and external partners, use enforcement and education strategies, and provide advice on housing standards. Additionally, you will manage records systems, draft legal documents, and contribute to policy updates. Flexibility and a commitment to excellence and integrity are crucial as you occasionally perform additional tasks.
