What the Job Involves
As Programme Manager for the Family Homes for Plymouth Children initiative, you will lead the integration of multiple workstreams focused on supporting children and families in need of crisis intervention and residential care. This role involves redesigning support systems to:
- Ensure child safety and maintain family units
- Match children in residential care with foster families
- Provide support to foster carers for children with specialist needs
- Develop care homes within the city to keep children close to family and support networks
The role includes driving strategic changes to save approximately £8m in the current financial year. You will oversee the implementation of these changes, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to achieve the program's goals.
