What the Job Involves
In this role, you will support service users with personal care and be familiar with moving and hoisting equipment. You'll assist with tasks specified in support plans and collaborate with individuals to improve their daily living skills. This includes encouraging skills necessary for interdependent or assisted living, such as kitchen tasks, household maintenance, and health care management. You will work either in partnership or as part of an integrated team of health and social care professionals to implement person-centred support plans, contribute to assessments and reviews, and uphold good care practices. The role also involves participating in activities with service users, keeping appropriate records, and adapting to the changing needs of the service.
