Who You Are
You are a seasoned arboricultural professional with robust urban working experience. Adept at tree inspections, surveys, defect diagnosis, and specifying remedial work, you possess a deep understanding of tree legislation and experience with tree decay detection tools. You have excellent communication skills, allowing you to engage with and understand the perspectives of various stakeholders including Council officers, Councillors, Developers, Community groups, and the Public. You are driven, eager to learn and improve, and interested in developing your career in a supportive team environment.
What the Job Involves
As a member of our arboriculture team, you will lead in managing and inspecting the Council’s tree stock. Responsibilities include risk management and offering specialist arboricultural advice. You will issue work orders to Contractors and the In-house tree service. Additionally, you'll handle responsibilities beyond technical arboriculture tasks such as financial management, general administration, responding to enquiries, and managing contracts. An Assistant role is also available, which offers support with fewer responsibilities.
