You are a compassionate and dedicated individual committed to providing personalized support to individuals with severe and enduring mental ill health. Your focus is on enabling them to achieve their personal recovery goals while promoting independence and positive outcomes. You have the ability to effectively communicate and follow detailed care and support plans, ensuring that all services are delivered according to established regulations and policies.

What the Job Involves

Based within supported living recovery houses, you will work 12-hour shifts from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Your main responsibilities include providing assistance with daily living skills, medication management, attending appointments, and engaging in leisure activities. You will support individuals in personal and practical care tasks tailored to their needs, including personal hygiene, dressing, cooking, and household tasks.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to follow care and support plans
  • Understanding of risk assessments
  • Mental health training (desirable)
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
