Who You Are
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Deputy Team Manager to join our Children's Safeguarding team immediately to cover an absence for a three-month contract. You will have substantial experience supervising and managing social workers, particularly in managing risk within Child Protection. You must work at a fast pace with robust and confident decision-making skills to effectively support the Team Manager.
What the Job Involves
This is a non-case holding role where you will work closely with the Team Manager to enhance our practice and performance to improve outcomes for children and young people. You will be based in our office at Edge Hill (L7 1PH) for three days a week, where free car parking is available. You will support a busy social work team consisting of approximately 10 social workers of varying experience and qualifications. Ideally, you will also be a Practice Educator.

- Experienced Deputy Team Manager in safeguarding
- Supervision and management of social workers
- Knowledgeable in Children's Safeguarding
- Risk management in Child Protection
- Robust and confident decision-making skills
- Sound knowledge of children's legislation and statutory guidance
- Familiarity with processes, procedures, and frameworks
- Practice Educator qualification (ideal)
