You are an experienced Mental Health Social Worker with a strong background in handling complex adult mental health cases within a Local Authority. You possess a deep understanding of the Care Act and have honed your abilities to execute statutory tasks, including assessments, reviews, and care planning. Your exceptional interpersonal skills enable you to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Organized, proactive, and resilient, you thrive in a fast-paced environment, adept at managing and prioritizing workloads. You have your own transport and are capable of traveling within and beyond the borough as required.
What the Job Involves
As a full-time Social Worker with the LB Sutton Mental Health team, you will engage in a dedicated review project ensuring the completion of Care Act and S117 reviews. You will focus on equitable service provision, supporting individuals to enhance their independence. Your role involves intensive work with complex mental health cases, participation in ward rounds, housing collaboration, brokerage, Court of Protection and Mental Health Tribunal applications, safeguarding inquiries, and undertaking duty work. Please note, this position focuses on Mental Health Social Work within a Local Authority and is distinct from Care Coordination roles.
