Who You Are
As an Advanced Practitioner in the Permanence Team, you are an experienced social worker with a minimum of three years of permanent statutory experience. You have extensive expertise in working with children in care and those looked after, demonstrating excellent engagement and direct working skills with children and young people. You possess a deep understanding of Corporate Parenting and Children Looked After legislation processes. You are organized, methodical, and committed to ensuring stable placements that cater to individual needs, prioritizing long-term improved outcomes for children. You are required to be a car driver with access to a vehicle and must not be leaving a permanent social work role in the North West region without a 3-month gap.
What the Job Involves
The role involves working within our Permanence Teams to deliver a high-quality social work service. You will be engaging directly with children and young people to plan care and placements while minimizing risk. The job requires three days on-site in Liverpool and two days of homeworking each week. You will be part of a team dedicated to collaborative practice improvement, supported by a high-quality senior leadership team focused on making Liverpool a hub for excellent social work.
