What the Job Involves
The Direct Services Lead Technician, working within the Reactive Repairs department, manages a team of technicians to provide efficient and high-quality property maintenance services. You will oversee repairs, ensure compliance with regulations, lead on service improvements, manage team performance, and provide a 24-hour emergency service. Your role involves being both office and site-based and you will work collaboratively across different locations, promoting a supportive work culture.
Skills
- Proven track record in managing direct labour services
- Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., City and Guilds, NVQ level 2/3)
- Knowledge of building regulations and Health & Safety legislation
- Experience with a range of repairs and maintenance work
- Commitment to diversity and customer service excellence
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess risks and manage health and safety effectively
- Willingness to work on-call and handle out-of-hours responsibilities
- Full UK driving license
