Please note this vacancy is available as a fixed term contract or secondment opportunity for up to 1 year. The Opportunity Transformation is at the heart of service excellence in Social Care. This role will play a critical part in shaping and delivering the council’s social care digital services during a period of significant change, including a major social care platform procurement and re‑implementation programme. You will bring strong product leadership, human centred design and agile delivery expertise to help ensure that social care digital services are designed around the needs of practitioners, residents, carers and partners, while remaining safe, resilient and compliant in a complex statutory environment. This role will support and complement the Lead Product Portfolio Manager for Social Care, strengthening day to day product leadership and helping to embed modern, outcome focused product practices across the social care portfolio. This role is responsible for day to day product management across social care digital services, working closely with the Lead Product Portfolio Manager for Social Care to establish clear product visions, priorities and delivery approaches during the reimplementation of the social care digital estate. You will work across multidisciplinary teams to ensure social care products are user-centred, evidence led and iteratively improved, supporting the successful transition to new platforms and ways of working while maintaining service continuity and safeguarding responsibilities. The role reports to the Assistant Director: Product & Delivery and works in close partnership with social care, technology, commissioning and delivery leaders. This role requires a high level of expertise and collaboration to enable the Council to create a culture and working environment that supports creativity and embraces critical challenge to improve.
