Waste Management Officer – North Herts Council Grade 4 - £13.50 PAYE / £17.29 Umbrella 37 per week 6 Week Contract - End May 2026 Immediate Start Location: The Buntingford Waste Depot, Baldock Road, Buntingford, SG9 9ER Closing Date: Monday 6th April 2026 Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be recruiting a Waste Management Officer on a full-time, temporary basis for North Hertfordshire Council. Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be required to work on-site, 5 days per week. The Role This job is a key role in the successful delivery of our waste and recycling services for residents in both East and North Hertfordshire. The post holder will be engaging with residents to assist with queries on our waste and recycling services and support the delivery and collection of containers as required. Also undertaking performance and asset monitoring for Refuse and Recycling collections, Street Cleansing and other service requirements to ensure residents are receiving an excellent service. Approximately 75% of working time will be lone working, performed within East and North Hertfordshire districts.
