Please note this is a part time position, exact days and hours to be discussed and confirmed at interview. The salary will be pro rata based on the agreed working hours. This position will require you to work at some or all of the following locations: Danbury Country Park; Great Notley Country Park; Thorndon Country Park; and Weald Country Park. The Role Our Education Rangers provide high-quality outdoor learning experiences in inspirational spaces, helping children to unlock their learning potential and bring out the best in them. The sessions we deliver are fun, active and cover a wide curriculum scope, as well as promoting children’s personal and social development. Culture and Green Spaces will deliver exceptional customer experiences, demonstrating the benefit of Essex’s strategic location, with the objective of developing a financially sustainable operation. This role is focused on supporting the Country Parks Education programme, in promoting environmental awareness and outdoor learning through formal and informal education, encouraging greater awareness to support lifelong learning. It requires delivery of activities to school groups visiting the parks and on occasion at school premises. Encouraging greater participation and involvement in ECC’s green spaces, supporting other types of visits for children and adults alongside celebrations and Country Park Events.
