Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (banking 30 minutes per week to be used towards the shut down between Christmas and New Year)

Data and mapping are at the heart of Building Harlow’s Future. As a GIS Data Officer, you’ll be part of a vital corporate support service where GI data underpins service delivery across the district. Your work will help shape smarter decisions, more efficient operations, and better outcomes for our communities.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive GIS Data Officer to join our team and play a key role in managing and maintaining our geographic information systems and local land and property gazetteer (LLPG).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration of the Street Naming and Numbering process.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within the Corporate GI and LLPG.
  • Maintain and improve key corporate datasets to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in GIS data analysis to support various service areas.
  • Produce high-quality maps and spatial data products.
  • Provide GIS support for an upcoming Grounds Maintenance Improvement Plan project.
