Castle Point Borough Council is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Finance Business Partner to join our Finance & Procurement Service, supporting the Corporate and Customer Directorate.

Key Skills and Abilities

• Strong consulting and negotiation skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to build influential relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
• Skilled in translating complex financial concepts for non-finance audiences
• Proficient in financial modelling, options appraisal and business intelligence tools
• Able to provide robust challenge and support to budget holders and senior managers
• Committed to continuous improvement and service transformation

Experience

• Extensive experience in public sector budgeting and accounting, preferably within a Local Authority
• Proven track record in financial modelling and strategic financial planning
• Experience in managing or supervising staff
• Demonstrated ability to support service transformation and value for money initiatives

Qualifications

• CCAB or CIMA qualified
• Demonstrates commitment to ongoing professional development
