The team primarily operate across Tendring, forming part of a Neighbourhood approach, linking closely with our partners in health, housing and voluntary sector. The people we support are aged 18 and above across all specialisms, and the team undertake a wide range of duties under the Care Act 2014 from assessment, reviews, mental capacity assessments and adult safeguarding. We are proud to offer hybrid working options, with an expectation to be office based at Magnet House in Clacton around 2 to 3 days per week depending on business need for collaborative team working and training. The Role As a Deputy Team Manager you will be supporting the development of practice, skills and knowledge with the Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Community Support Workers within the team. In addition, you will represent the team in a range of meetings both internal and with our partner agencies. You will be working in collaboration with health care professionals and care providers using a multi – disciplinary approach to ensure that the people we work with receive the right support at the right time. Your key responsibilities will include: About You You’ll bring strong leadership and behavioural skills, giving you the ability to develop a highly motivated, high-performing professional team to deliver the best solutions for those using our services. We’re also looking for your experience of working in a social care setting, along with the ability to deal with challenging social situations and develop strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community to provide a supportive framework for vulnerable adults. You’ll also bring: This role involves travelling around Essex and beyond. A driving licence and car - or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means - is essential.
