Join our Quality Improvement Team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of good and outstanding care across Essex. This is your opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people in our communities. This role is offered as a Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2026. As an ‘Anywhere Worker’ position, the role will involve a combination of remote and office based working. There will be an expectation for you to attend the office based at Rowan House, Colchester approximately 1-2 days per week in addition to ‘as and when’ there is a business need. There may also be a requirement to attend other Essex County Council offices during the fixed term contract. The Role: The role of a Quality Improvement Officer centres on development and implementation of the council’s strategy for enhancing the quality of the Adult Social Care market in Essex. The role will involve working with Residential Care homes to implement the Provider Quality Innovation teams programme of initiatives which aim to improve the quality of services through support, guidance and training. Key Responsibilities: Key responsibility of the role will be to support care homes to implement the Provider Quality teams PROSPER project which uses quality improvement methodology in the prevention of harm and continuous improvement. Experience and Qualifications: Please note that the job role requires you to be mobile throughout an operational area. Therefore, the post holder will need to have a driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means.
