Leisure Attendant - Waterside Leisure Centre & Runnymede
· 1 x Full Time = 37 Hours
· 10 x Casual Lifeguards - Qualified & Unqualified - Training
Provided in August if Unqualified

All positions will be inclusive of both leisure centres, Waterside Farm
Leisure Centre, and Runnymede Leisure Centre.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 06:30 - 22:30, Saturday 07:00 - 18:30
and Sunday 07:00 - 20:30.
The Opportunity
The Leisure Attendant is responsible for ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and
welcoming environment for all leisure centre users. This includes
supervising activities, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards,
providing excellent customer service, and assisting in the daily operations
of the facility. The Leisure Attendant plays a vital role in upholding
safety regulations including supervising the poolside area, promoting
positive user experiences, and contributing to the overall success of the
leisure centre.
Accountabilities
· To supervise swimming pool sessions, identifying potential hazards
and taking appropriate action in line with the Pool Safety Operating
Procedures.
· To administer first aid as required.
· To clean internal and external areas and to maintain the
facilities to a high standard following health and safety procedures at all
times.
· To be helpful, polite and courteous and to provide excellent
customer care at all times
· To be responsible for erecting, dismantling and storage of
equipment within the facility/facilities in accordance with the timetable
of activities and events.
· To assist with deliveries as and when instructed, ensuring safe
storage of stock.
· To enforce all rules associated with the use of the facilities to
ensure the safety and enjoyment of all the customers.
· To ensure that any damaged equipment or building fabric is
reported immediately.
· To work at any of the Council's Leisure facilities as required.
· To comply with the centres operating procedures and to be aware of
any responsibilities contained therein e.g Emergency Action Plan

· A positive "can do" attitude when dealing with a wide range of
individuals and queries, ensuring excellent customer care
· The ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Knowledge of health and safety
· Able to promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young
person's and vulnerable adults.
· Requirement to work flexible shifts to meet the requirements of
the service
